Over the past few months, we have invited the best Little Rock food trucks to set up shop right here at Bowman Pointe. Every Tuesday during happy hour, we’ve had everything from tasty Caribbean soul food to mouth-watering Venezuelan food.
Simply put: You’re loving it. They’re loving it. So, we’re loving it!
So far, 14 different food trucks have made their way to West Little Rock and fed us some amazing meals.
We decided to dig into each one, tell you a little bit more about them, and show you where else you can find them in Little Rock.
Here, in alphabetical order, are some of the best food trucks in Rock City. Enjoy!
#1: Adobo to Go
You need to try their Pork Adobo, of course. It’s a staff favorite!
But other stars on the menu are the Sweet & Sour Chicken, Lumpia (Filipino spring rolls), and Fried Cheesecake Rolls with a chocolate drizzle.
Follow them on Facebook to keep up with their weekly schedule.
#2: Chop Chop Grill
Chop Chop Grill is the epitome of fun, fast, and fiery Asian-inspired street food.
Pork Belly Buns, Teriyaki Chicken, and Vegetable Fried Rice are all in attendance on this five-star menu, and you can’t go wrong with any of them.
For updates on their weekly whereabouts, check out their Facebook page.
#3: Delta Biscuit Company
When you live in Little Rock, you must embrace Southern cuisine. Biscuits are life here!
We love that Delta Biscuit Company is using biscuits in amazing ways across breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They are proving day in and day out that biscuits are the perfect vehicle for so many delicious ingredients.
If you’re looking for a recommendation, the Dr. Jones Biscuit is a fan favorite. It’s a biscuit hug of a sandwich, holding together fried chicken, pimento cheese, and bacon jam.
PS: Delta Biscuit Company will be here for an epic biscuit brunch on Saturday, April 20! They will start taking orders at 9:00 am outside the clubhouse. Inside, we will start serving up mimosas when we open at 10:00 am!
#4: Down Home Blues BBQ
Down Home Blues BBQ serves up simple, straightforward, traditional Southern barbecue.
We’re talking pulled pork, turkey legs, chicken wings, and all the fixings.
To get a taste of this Little Rock food truck, don’t miss happy hour on May 14! They will be here from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.
#5: Jefferson’s Mobile Grilling
Another BBQ joint that’s been popular at Bowman Pointe is Jefferson’s Mobile Grilling. And, for a food truck, their menu is huge!
You can choose from BBQ nachos, loaded fries, beef brisket sandwiches, and so much more.
#6: Jimmy’s Jerk Chicken & BBQ
Jimmy’s Jerk Chicken & BBQ is infamous in Little Rock for their Jerk Pineapple Bowl. It features jerk chicken, rice, pineapple, and mango served in an actual pineapple!
Their menu also includes BBQ ribs, fish tacos, pulled pork, and chicken wings.
#7: Juicy J’s Chicken and Fish
Do you ever just crave a basket of fried food? If so, this Little Rock food truck can deliver.
Juicy J’s Chicken and Fish offers simple and satisfying deep-fried food like chicken strips, corn dogs, and fish filets.
If you’re super hungry, you can get six pieces of chicken and a side of fries for just $8!
Luckily enough, they will be back here next Tuesday, April 16, if you want to give them a try.
#8: Nach’Yo Nachos
We just had Nach’Yo Nachos for the first time here last week, and they were a wild, colorful blast of fresh air! (If you’ve seen their food truck, you will know exactly what we mean by that.)
At every stop they make, they change up their menu. But, in the end, it’s all about making fun and fabulous nachos.
Need an example? How do Honey Sriracha Pork Nachos sound? They even make dessert nachos, too!
#9: Sandra Rose Kitchen
We love letting the good times roll whenever Sandra Rose Kitchen makes a stop at Bowman Pointe. This Cajun food truck knows how to make food you will crave for days to come.
The last time they were here, everyone went crazy over their Chicken Cajun Pasta, Shrimp Cajun Pasta, and Spicy Ragin Cajun Crab Legs. Can you say, “Yum?”
They are on the schedule for May 21 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, so don’t miss them if you want to give their food a try!
Otherwise, follow them on Facebook to find out where this Little Rock food truck is headed next.
#10: Say Cheese
Everyone has a smile on their face when the Say Cheese food truck comes to Bowman Pointe, and for good reason. Their one-and-only side dish on the menu is the It’s Gouda Mac N Cheese (just $4).
Other standouts on the menu is the Full Monte (a Monte-Cristo style sandwich dusted in powdered sugar) and the Veggin’ Out (packed with veggies for all you vegetarians!).
If those are too much for you, go with a good old, classic Say Cheese (American and Swiss cheese on Texas toast crusted with Gruyere cheese).
They will be here May 28 for the first time in a while, so everyone is excited!
Check out their Facebook page for more details on other spots they frequent in Little Rock.
#11: The Fry Guys
The Fry Guys have been here twice already, and we love it. Their menu is basically full of elevated snack food that makes for some hearty, feel-good meals.
Last time they stopped by, their special for the night was Taco Tots – tater tots covered in ground beef, nacho cheese sauce, salsa, jalapenos, and sour cream.
The time before that, they offered fresh, hand-cut fries four ways: regular, cheese, chili cheese, and pulled pork. Yeah, you’re welcome!
Follow them on Facebook to see where they’re headed next.
#12: The Middle Matters
The Middle Matters has paid us a visit more than any of the other Little Rock food trucks on this list, and we can’t say we mind it!
What started out as a gourmet sandwich concept, here lately has focused on healthy meal prep with dishes like Chicken and Gluten-Free Protein Waffles.
If you’re looking for a meal prepping service here in town, you can even place an order with their chef Aaron Wilkerson via their website.
#13: The Rock Brick Oven Pizza
The people behind this food truck are seriously geniuses. They built this food truck—brick pizza oven included—so that they could drive around Little Rock and sell people personal-sized pizzas. And, they’re delicious.
The concept is simple: pick your toppings (sausage, pepperoni, etc.), place your order, and watch as they work their thin-crust magic.
The Rock Brick Oven Pizza will be back at Bowman Pointe on May 7, so mark your calendars!
If you’re already a big fan, you better make sure you’re following them on Facebook.
#14: Tren Al Sur
“Tren Al Sur” is Spanish for “train to the South.” Well, we would happily hop on their food train any day of the week!
Their Venezuelan menu features arepas and empanadas with all kinds of fantastic fillings, as well as tequeños, which are fried mozzarella sticks. Their salsas are also too-die-for.
For a sweet treat, try the Agua de Panela, which is water with sugar cane and lemon. It will be nice and refreshing in this Arkansas humidity!
Tren Al Sur will be back to serve us later in the summer, so stay tuned to our events page on Facebook for updates.
The Little Rock food truck scene continues to grow, and we absolutely love bringing a taste of that to you all every week during Turn Up Tuesday!
Coming soon, we have a huge event happening right here at Bowman Pointe with some amazing Little Rock food trucks. Stay tuned for more details on that!
