Make It Work: Different Ways You Can Use 4 Key Spaces in Your Apartment
03.11.2021 |
Any fan of Project Runway knows you must always “Make it work.” In essence, you need to get creative with the materials you have if you want to create something new.
The same concept rings true when you are furnishing and decorating your luxury apartment here at Bowman Pointe!
There are four key spaces in several of our floor plans that do not have to be used in a singular way. We invite you to imagine something different there and create a space that works your lifestyle, not the other way around.
Here are some ideas…
#1: Wine Bar
Not a wino? No problemo!
There are many other ways to use the built-in wine rack and dry bar in your apartment, especially when you consider you can plug in a USB-powered device there:
- Coffee Bar – Plug in a Keurig and stock the cabinets with K-cups and coffee mugs!
- Juice Bar – Plug in a juicer and leave a bowl of fruit and vegetables on your bar for juicing!
- Soda Bar – Set up a SodaStream and stock the cabinets with glasses for sipping bubbles!
- Snack Bar – Fill some clear jars with your favorite snacks and decorate your bar!
#2: Guest Bedroom
We have a whole blog post on this subject!
For those of you with an extra bedroom in your two-bedroom or three-bedroom apartment, know that you don’t have to use that space exclusively as a guest room. (Considering that we’re living through a pandemic, you probably don’t have many guests visiting you anyway.)
Try transforming that bedroom into a home office, exercise room, media room, or studio space – whatever fits your needs best.
#3: Dining Space
When you already have an eat-in kitchen, it doesn’t always make sense to also have a formal dining space. We get that!
All our larger floor plans have a dedicated dining area with a beautiful chandelier that would look gorgeous over a dining table, but you should feel free use that extra square footage in a different way that works better for you.
We have seen lots of residents use the dining area as their office or study space by adding shelving and a nice desk.
Others just put their couch or sectional there with a nice area rug to create an extra-large living room!
#4: Patio or Balcony
If you enjoy both indoor and outdoor living, it’s always nice to have your own private patio or balcony.
But maybe you don’t picture yourself sitting on outside on some patio furniture during a hot, humid Arkansas summer. Transform that extra space into a different kind of outdoor oasis!
You could try generating a green thumb and start an herb garden. Spring is the perfect time of year to use fresh herbs in all kind of yummy seasonal recipes.
Once you decide to switch things up, don’t forget to tag us in any photos you share of your new bar, bedroom, dining, or patio space!
