Your Guide to Applying for an Apartment at Bowman Pointe

Is Bowman Pointe your dream apartment community in Little Rock? We’re thrilled to have you! Before you take the next steps toward joining our community, there are a few things to keep in mind to ensure your application process goes smoothly.

Whether you’re new to renting or have been through the process before, this guide will help you complete your application like a pro, so you can be approved in no time. And, of course, we’re here to help if you have any questions!

Gather Your Information

After selecting your ideal apartment, the first step is to head to our online application form. Here, you’ll enter all your personal details, which are essential for processing background and credit checks.

Make sure to have the following information on hand:

  • Full Legal Name
  • Email Address & Phone Number
  • Date of Birth
  • Social Security Number (or government-issued ID)
  • Driver’s License Number
  • Vehicle Information (Make & Model)
  • Annual Income

Having these details ready will make the application process much faster and easier, so if you’re missing any of the above, it’s a good idea to gather them before you start.

Application Fees and Payments

Once your information is entered, you’ll need to pay the associated fees. It’s important to note that we only accept payments via bank account (you’ll need your account and routing numbers), as we do not take credit card payments for these fees.

Here’s what you’ll need to cover:

  • $65 Application Fee
  • $150 Administrative Fee
  • $250 Security Deposit

If you have a pet, there will also be a pet fee of at least $350, depending on the size of your furry friend.

Your application will only move forward once these payments have been submitted, so be sure to complete this step promptly. And here’s a bonus: if you’re employed by one of our Preferred Employers, your $65 application fee will be credited toward your first month’s rent!

Submit Your Income Verification

After your application and fees are submitted, our leasing team will begin the review process. If everything looks good so far, you’ll receive an email outlining the next steps, including the need to verify your income.

To qualify, your income must be at least three times the monthly rent. Here are a few ways you can verify this:

  • Last year’s W2 and three recent pay stubs (for current employees)
  • An official offer letter on company letterhead (for new hires)
  • A business license and bank statement (for self-employed applicants)

The faster you can provide these documents, the quicker we can approve your application, so it’s helpful to have them ready when you apply!

Adding a Co-Signer

In the event that your income doesn’t meet our requirements, you do have the option to add a co-signer. However, their income must be at least five times the monthly rent. They’ll need to provide the same verification documents that you would, so be sure they’re prepared if you need their help.

Verify Your Rental History

We’ll also need to verify your rental history. In the “Next Steps” email, you’ll receive a list of previous addresses pulled from your background check. Simply confirm which addresses are tied to rentals, properties you owned, or workplaces.

Additionally, we’ll reach out to your current and previous landlords for rental verification, so it would be helpful if you could provide their contact details. If we have any trouble reaching them, we may reach out to you for assistance.

Register Your Pet

If you’re planning to bring a pet with you, we’ll need to confirm that they meet our pet policy, and you’ll need to provide us with some additional documentation. We’ll require a recent photo of your pet as well as a copy of their veterinary records to confirm they’re up-to-date on vaccinations.

Once your pet is approved, there will be a monthly pet rent of $25 per pet (maximum of two pets allowed), in addition to your regular rent and any additional amenities.

Final Steps

After you’ve checked off everything on this list, your application is complete! From here, just sit back and wait for that approval email—and then you can officially start planning your move to Bowman Pointe.
