5 Ways You Can Spruce Up Your Apartment for Winter

|

If you’ve been living in Arkansas for any amount of time, you should know by now our weather is almost never predictable. While one day may seem to suggest we will have a warm winter, the next day we could get snowed in.

With the weather leaving us constantly guessing, here are several easy things you can do to protect your luxury apartment from whatever Arkansas may do this season. Let’s get started!

#1: Change Your Bedding

No matter the season, comfort is always key. To keep yourself sleeping soundly when the weather outside is frightful, just change your bedding!

By switching out your lighter sheets and comforter with something heavier like a duvet, you can ensure that your bed is always warm and ready for you.

Then, while you enjoy your heavier bedding, you can send off your lighter bedding to be dry-cleaned. It’s very easy thanks to our valet dry cleaning partnership with Tide Cleaners

Want your bedroom to feel extra cozy? Add some throw pillows and blankets! These small accessories can make a world of difference.

#2: Invest in Indoor Plants

As the months grow colder and the beautiful foliage is replaced with leafless trees, it can start to seem dreary outside. Thankfully, you can combat some of the wintertime blues by investing in an indoor plant!

Plants will not only add vibrant colors to your apartment, but also help remind you of the warm summer months you spend lounging under palm trees next to our resort-style pool.

Not sure where to shop? There is no shortage of local flower shops here in Little Rock that offer any type of seasonal bouquets, potted plants, or Zen plants.

#3: Install Insulated Curtains

Here at Bowman Pointe, we made sure to install energy-efficient windows with thermal insulation to keep warm air inside your apartment. But there is no harm in getting some extra protection.

While the temperatures may get unbearably cold outside, we still get several hours of beautiful sunshine!

When the sun is out, pull your curtains back to make your living room look bright and warm. After the sun has gone down, insulated curtains can serve as an extra barrier between you and any harsh winter winds outside.

Speaking of windows, condensation can be a serious problem during winter. Make sure you are wiping down any condensation you see with a dry towel and submitting a service request if you notice any odd water leaks!

#4: Add Some Rugs

Adding a rug is a super simple way to not only increase insulation, but also make your home look much cozier during these cold winter months. Trust us, your toes will thank you!

Fun doormats are another way you can combat the cold weather. Whether you get something sensible to wipe off your boots or something winter-themed to brighten your mood at the door, there is no denying that doormats are must have for wintertime.

#5: Clean Your Patio

Not every apartment at Bowman Pointe comes with an outdoor patio or balcony. But, if your home does, now is the perfect time to give it a good, deep clean!

Wipe down your furniture and cover it until summer. Then, store any temperature-sensitive pieces inside to prevent warping and cracking.

What is (yet another) benefit of renting an apartment with us?

Because you’re living in a luxury apartment community, your winter checklist does not have to include cleaning the gutters or checking your drainage. This winter season, just focus on keeping cozy in your apartment and leave the rest to us!
