Technology is everything these days, especially when you have a global pandemic keeping you from all the social activities you’re used to enjoying. You need social media, video conferencing, virtual games and more to keep you connected to friends and up to date on the latest news.
That’s why we are proud to have such an awesome resident app with amazing features that make contactless communication possible. It’s life-changing!
One feature you may not have tried in the app yet is the Bulletin Board. There, you can see what your neighbors are posting about, respond to them directly, and make your own posts, too.
It’s the perfect place to start conversations, share ideas, offer resources, and even sell stuff.
Step #1: Get the Resident App
To use Bowman Pointe Bulletin Board, you need to download our resident app.
If you don’t already have it on your phone or tablet, just search for “Richardson Management” in the App Store or Google Play Store.
Once you download the app and enter your personal information, it will confirm your resident account here at Bowman Pointe and allow you to open the app.
Step #2: Open the Bulletin Board
Now that you’re logged in, finding the Bulletin Board is super easy. Just look for the push pin icon at the bottom of the home screen!
Tap there to open the Bulletin Board, see what your neighbors have posted, and start sending them replies.
Step #3: Make a Bulletin Post
Ready to make your own post on the Bulletin Board?
There are two ways you can make a post in our app, and both are easy to do.
Pencil & Paper Button
On the Bulletin Board itself, there is a small pencil and paper icon at the top of the screen. Tap there to start creating your own bulletin post.
I want to… Button
If you don’t already have the Bulletin Board open, you can also create a post from the home screen of the app.
Just find the black I want to… button at the top of your screen for an Apple device or at the bottom of your screen for an Android device.
When you tap on the I want to… button, the Actions menu will open.
Then, you can select the Bulletin Post option on an Apple device or the Post to the Bulletin option on an Android device.
Step #4: Submit a Bulletin Post
The New Post form you just opened is where you can enter the details of your new bulletin board post.
Give your post a subject, type out your content, and add a photo. Then, hit Submit. It’s that simple!
After you submit your post, it will be sent to Bowman Pointe staff for approval. It usually doesn’t take us that long to review your post.
Please Note: We only reject a post if it violates a community policy, so it doesn’t happen very often. The app will not notify you if your post is rejected. If after two business days you do not see the post you submitted on the Bulletin Board, you can contact our office to appeal the rejection.
Step #5: Respond to Your Bulletin Post
After we approve your post, it will be live on the Bulletin Board for your neighbors to see and respond to. Any replies you receive will be sent to your inbox inside the app and appear as comments on your post.
If you ever want to remove your post, just open the Bulletin Board and tap Delete under your post. After a couple months, your post will automatically disappear as newer posts populate the Bulletin Board.
